Burning Tree Drug Rehab and Comedian Mark Lundholm Team Up for 2013
Date:12/9/2012

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) December 09, 2012

Burning Tree Programs announces partnership with comedian Mark Lundholm for 2013. The partnership consists of several visits to Burning Tree campuses throughout the year, along with sponsoring Lundholm as a keynote speaker at certain locations in 2013. Lundholm will provide a comedic approach to treatment for Burning Tree clients.

Mark Lundholm tends to take risks. Certainly not the same risks he once took as a self-proclaimed “ex hundred twenty-some pound methamphetamine, cocaine, wino, cardboard box living, shuffle-step, mumble-bum, horrible smelling, long hair, foul-mouth criminal, living under a bridge most of the 80’s and in abandoned buildings when no one bigger or badder would kick me out.”

Lundholm does over 300 speaking engagements a year, speaking to Fortune 500 companies, treatment centers, corporate seminars, comedy clubs, jails, etc. “These are broken boys and girls in adult bodies,” says Lundholm about Burning Tree clients. “I’m going to tell clients the same thing that I would tell myself when I came into recovery at age 28, and the things that I still tell myself to this day. If I have to keep it a secret, I am not going to do it. It’s not a bad thing having what you have. It’s a horribly dysfunctional thing to keep doing what have been doing. You want to be less depressed, help someone else. Freedom starts at forgiveness. Trust is never misplaced, it’s only misused. It’s not going to be my problem; I am going to get into the solution because I can do something about that.”

Burning Tree continues to be on the cutting edge of drug and alcohol addiction treatment, and has become a leading resource for individuals that despite past experiences, consequences, desire, and attempts to stay sober, and have lost hope it can ever happen. Burning Tree is a long-term solution for the hopeless and helpless, with an average treatment stay between 8-12 months. Their clinical team consists of licensed addiction specialists with different backgrounds and areas of expertise. Burning Tree employs experienced Aftercare Specialists and Transition Services individuals that ease the transition from treatment to real life, empowering clients to execute tools learned in treatment.

Burning Tree maintains two treatment centers in Texas, near Austin and Dallas, providing long-term residential treatment for substance abuse patients from the contiguous U.S. The centers provide a dual diagnosis to determine potential co-occurring mental health disorders and substance abuse. To contact the admissions department directly, simply dial 866-287-2877.

The site contains resources for understanding addiction and different treatment approaches, and hosts an addiction blog that has been used as a resource for leading industry individuals.
