Burgess Announces Expanded Software Partnership With Health Net

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 29 /PRNewswire/ --- Burgess(TM) a leading Medicare-based data and information technology solutions firm, announced today an expanded agreement with its Woodland Hills, California based client, Health Net.

Health Net is a publicly traded, managed health care company, employing approximately 10,000 associates nationwide. The company's health plans and government contracts subsidiaries provide health benefits to over 6 million individuals across the country through group, individual, Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE and Veterans Affairs programs.

The expanded contract enables Health Net to price claims for additional major Medicare provider and payment types. Health Net will continue to be a licensed user of Burgess Reimbursement System (BRS)(TM), a complete, modular software solution which enables analyses, modeling of contract payment rates and policies and claims re-pricing. Burgess(TM) will continue to provide ongoing user and technical support for the use of the software system, as well as Medicare reimbursement education and training.

Amy Faulk, Health Net's Vice President, Configuration, Enterprise Wide, commented: "Health Net has decided to expand our use of BRS by purchasing additional provider types.
