Brown Mackie College - Indianapolis Announces New Degree Program in Occupational Therapy

Students Being Accepted Now for Classes Beginning January 2008

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Brown Mackie College - Indianapolis today introduces an Associate of Applied Science degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant. This program joins Brown Mackie College - Indianapolis' growing portfolio of 10 other education programs.

Brown Mackie College - Indianapolis' Occupational Therapy Assistant program provides students with instruction, knowledge and hands-on experience, preparing graduates for entry-level employment in nursing homes; rehabilitation, acute care or psychiatric hospitals; school systems; and private and outpatient clinics. In addition to coursework in areas such as anatomy, physiology and medical terminology, the program includes laboratory sessions, fieldwork and practice in assessment and treatment procedures.

Brown Mackie College - Indianapolis also helps Occupational Therapy Assistant graduates prepare for the National Board of Certification of Occupational Therapy exam. After passing the certification exam, graduates may need to obtain a license in the state in
