Brightree Debuts on List of Top 100 Healthcare Technology Companies
Date:6/19/2013

Atlanta, Ga (PRWEB) June 19, 2013

Brightree LLC , the leading provider of cloud-based clinical, billing and business management software solutions for the post-acute care industry, has been ranked for the first time - at position 79 - on the Healthcare Informatics 100 (HCI 100) list. This prestigious list features the top 100 healthcare IT companies in the U.S. in terms of revenue during the last fiscal year. Since 2005, Brightree’s revenue has grown at an average rate of 85% annually, and the company has built its organization to more than 500 team members.

“As U.S. healthcare reform challenges the system to reduce the costs of care while at the same time improving outcomes for a population that is aging and has increased medical needs, providers of post-acute care services are emerging as a critical part of the solution,” said Dave Cormack, president and CEO of Brightree. “We believe now is the time that home medical equipment providers, home health agencies and hospice organizations need to make bold moves to help solve this crisis. And innovative technology solutions like those from Brightree are the key to operating efficiently and providing effective care.”

Since 2005, Brightree has grown both organically and through acquisition. Executing against its post-acute care strategy, the company has expanded its presence across the home medical equipment, home health, hospice, and home infusion markets. Its SaaS-based revenue model enables the company to make significant investments in product innovations. In fact, Brightree plans a $72 million investment over the next four years in its next-generation post-acute care platform and services. Therefore, Brightree is in a unique position to deliver a comprehensive platform that helps providers to manage their businesses effectively as they seek to streamline processes and improve patient outcomes despite the challenges of the healthcare market.

As part of its post-acute care expansion strategy, Brightree acquired CareAnyware on December 31, 2012. CareAnyware is a cloud-based EMR software platform for home health and hospice companies. With its solid revenue growth and 2,700 customers, Brightree is now the largest independent provider of cloud-based software solutions for the post-acute care industry. Brightree’s customers process $10 billion of medical claims annually and are responsible for servicing the home care needs of more than 20 million patients.

In 2008, Brightree received funding from Battery Ventures, a $4 billion private investment firm, which has helped fuel both organic growth and complementary acquisitions. In addition to its acquisition of CareAnyware in December 2012, the company acquired C&S Billing in 2008, CAU in 2010, and Pacware in 2011. Brightree has also been ranked among the fastest growing private companies in the U.S. on the Inc. 500/5000 list in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, it was named by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Atlanta as one of the fastest-growing companies in Georgia for the fourth consecutive year.
