Brighton Hospital Announces Creation of Brighton National Addiction Foundation

Dedicated to the mission of Brighton Hospital, one of America's oldest and most experienced addiction treatment facilities, the Brighton National Addiction Foundation offers ways for individuals, corporations and grant makers to invest in Brighton's national leadership. Gifts, grants and bequests to the Foundation make it possible for Brighton Hospital to continue to be a nationally innovative source of hope through prevention, patient care, aftercare, education and research. Donations to the Brighton National Addiction Foundation assist in building and expanding health care facilities, helping patients who need added days of rehabilitation, providing continuing education opportunities for patient care staff, and assisting with clinical and outcomes research programs. The hospital is widely recognized for its establishment, in 2006, of America's first fellowship training programs for physicians based in a clinical setting.

Brighton Hospital, a member of St. John Health, continues to be a standard-bearer and innovator in chemical dependency treatment based on the medical model and 12-step program participation. Brighton Hospital is a fully licensed and accredited acute care hospital and is staffed by addiction-medicine physicians and addiction-credentialed clinicians.
