Bridgetech Announces Addition of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality as Content Provider in its Development of a Healthcare Web Portal in China
Date:9/6/2007

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bridgetech Holdings International Inc. (OTC: BGTH.PK), a company focused on maximizing the potential of emerging healthcare products and services in the U.S. and Asian markets, announced today that it has added the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) to its list of esteemed content providers, which include notable academic institutions and NGOs, in the development of the largest health care web portal in China. AHRQ is providing content from AHRQ WebM&M -- Morbidity and Mortality Rounds on the Web, which is an online journal that uses a case-based approach to educate health care providers and trainees about patient safety. The site features expert analysis of medical errors and perspectives on safety from prominent leaders in the field of patient safety. Today, the site receives about 1 million unique visits yearly. Bridgetech will translate the content into Chinese.

According to Michael Chermak, Chairman and CEO of Bridgetech, the addition of the AHRQ WebM&M site as a content provider demonstrates Bridgetech's ongoing commitment to provide China with a tremendous scope of reliably sourced information in the area of patient safety. "We are committed to providing China with the most comprehensive patient safety information available from the world's most distinguished institutions," said Chermak.

"AHRQ is pleased to be part of an initiative that is helping to provide evidence-based information about patient safety to an international audience," said Carolyn M. Clancy, M.D., Director of AHRQ.

Added Robert M. Wachter, M.D., Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and Editor of AHRQ WebM&M, "Over the past decade, we have learned a tremendous amount about how to keep patients safe in hospitals and clinics. We are thrilled to be working with Bridgetech to help make this information accessible to even more health care providers and leaders around the world."
