ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Hospice Foundation announces the appointment of Brickson Diamond, of Los Angeles, as Chair of the Board of Trustees. As Board Chair, Diamond will lead the Foundation's dedicated board in its philanthropic efforts to advance quality, compassionate end-of-life care for all.
Diamond is a Senior Vice President of Capital Guardian Trust Company's Personal Investment Management Division and a Vice President of Capital Guardian Trust Company, a Nevada Corporation. He is the manager of the division's Consulting Services Group, responsible for coordinating work with investment management consultants nationally. He earned an MBA from
Mr. Diamond has taken active leadership in local, national and academic philanthropic circles. In addition to his work on behalf of hospice care, his efforts are focused on the advancement of communities of color, social change, HIV/AIDS prevention and care, and issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
Prior to his appointment of Board Chair, Diamond led the NHF resource development committee. He has made a significant pledge to support NHF's Pediatric Initiative, reflecting his particular concern about the issues of bereaved children.
