Ryan & Wetmore Partner Will Serve 2008-2009 Term

FREDERICK, Md., April 8, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Brian Bastis, Partner, Ryan & Wetmore, PC, a full-service accounting and management consulting firm, was recently elected as President of the Executive Committee of the National CPA Health Care Advisors Association (HCAA). He will begin his one-year term in October 2008.

In this position, he will be responsible for facilitating the transition of a new management company. Bastis is also committed to growing the membership and working with the Executive Board to direct various committees, particularly the Conference Planning Committee. The latter produces the organization's Semi-Annual Education Conferences.

"During my tenure, I hope to increase conference attendance, generate additional non-dues revenue, and increase HCAA's national visibility through continued marketing initiatives. A member since 1995, Bastis has served on several of the organization's committees. He has been a member of the HCAA Executive Committee since 2005 and was appointed Vice President for the 2007-2008 term. Prior to this position, he served as Treasurer from 2006-2007 and Secretary from 2005-2006. Additionally, he was on the Membership Committee from 1997 to 2000.

HCAA is a national network of certified public accounting (CPA) firms serving physicians and physician groups. It provides members with educational and marketing resources and networking events.
