Brain Injury Trial Attorney Shareef Rabaa of Weitz & Luxenberg to Educate Peers at American Association of Justice Conference on Traumatic Brain Injuries
Date:4/30/2013

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 30, 2013

Mass Tort and personal injury litigation firm Weitz & Luxenberg, P.C., announced today that Shareef Rabaa, an associate attorney who has represented numerous clients with neurological injuries, will speak this week at a conference geared toward helping fellow litigators understand the nuances of trying brain injury cases.

The conference is a part of a two-day legal education seminar held by the American Association for Justice, a preeminent Plaintiff’s bar group known for educating attorneys and advocating for the civil rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Rabaa said the conference would explore strategies for litigating brain injury cases, and that his lecture was specifically about how to communicate delicate medical and legal concepts using persuasive storytelling techniques.

Rabaa said the AAJ conference would be a hallmark for many lawyers in attendance. “These conferences present a great chance to work with some of the best attorneys in the plaintiff’s bar to enhance our respective legal practices,” said Rabaa. “They are great opportunities to enhance the level of advocacy the entire bar is providing to its clients, and the AAJ conferences in particular are run at a very high level.”

“A traumatic brain injury can completely change who a person is. A dedicated trial attorney must learn who their client was before this terrible injury. Then they must learn who the client is today as a result of the trauma. Finally, a traumatic brain injury attorney must be able to tell that story to a jury. My talk will help other brain injury lawyers understand the best ways to learn and then communicate their clients’ stories.”

Rabaa’s lecture is entitled “Telling the TBI Victims Story: Combining Storytelling, Neuroscience, and Psychological Techniques for Better Advocacy.” He will speak in the afternoon session on Thursday.

Rabaa, who was recently names a Super Lawyers Rising Star, will add this presentation to a grow list of lectures he has given regarding trial advocacy techniques in traumatic brain injury cases.

Weitz & Luxenberg’s attorneys participate in similar conferences across the nation every year, led by litigators who are considered experts on products liability lawsuits, asbestos litigation, and other subjects.

The conference will be held at the Roosevelt New Orleans, May 2-3, coinciding with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival.
