Bowker Insurance Group Collaborates with Eton Academy to Introduce a New Charity Campaign Raising Scholarship Funds for Children with Learning Disabilities

Bowker Insurance Group debuts the latest charity campaign in its recognized Community Program in the greater Detroit area by announcing their fundraiser for Eton Academy, a state-of-the-art learning center for children of all ages. Targeting scholarships for children with learning challenges, the campaign is now accepting donations at

Eton Academy is dedicated to meeting its students’ educational needs in a manner which unlocks frustration, and enables lifelong success. The ‘Eton Approach’ is a system for teaching and learning which blends a warm, nurturing environment with research-driven teaching methods. Eton’s curriculum includes the whole of a student’s experiences, believing each and every moment to be a teachable opportunity. Specialized teacher training combines multi-sensory academics, brain-based research, small class sizes and fully open lines of communication among teachers, parents and students.

“Empowering these kids with scholarships so that they have access to the specialized resources they need for a quality education should be important to us all,” said Cheryl Bowker, the agency’s principal. “Neighbors helping neighbors what we’re all about here, with the ultimate goal being to make our communities better and stronger.”

Bowker Insurance hopes that the initiative to spread the word about Eton Academy will bring awareness to the worthwhile work being done there, as well as their constant need for scholarship funds for learning-challenged children. Mobilizing its own network of personal and professional contacts, Bowker Insurance has set a fundraising goal of $500. The campaign will be promoted over the course of the next 30-90 days through the agency’s social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through their monthly magazine, which is delivered to thousands of households in the greater Detroit area. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature all the details of the campaign for Eton Academy. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be accessed here:

The ongoing community involvement program conducted by Bowker Insurance Group will continue to highlight and support people in need in their local community. A new campaign will be launched every 30-90 days, in collaboration with local non-profits and community members. Anyone wishing to submit information on groups, families or individuals in need of a helping hand may do so at All entries are reviewed and the selected worthy causes contacted by a representative of Bowker Insurance’s Community Program.
