Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2013
In the June 10, 2013 issue of Life & Style magazine Dr. Simon Ourian was asked to comment on the Botulinum toxin cream called RT001. The product will be applied by a physician to the patient’s crow’s feet, left on for 30 minutes, and then rinsed off. In approximately four days the muscles beneath the skin in the targeted area will freeze. Preliminary results from ongoing clinical trials indicated that 80 percent of the subjects had results similar to those with injected Botox (go to goo.gl/ZHgz0)
Dr. Ourian, Medical Director of Epione Beverly Hills, was quoted in the article as saying that “This is revolutionary. It’ll be the first time in history a product reduces wrinkles topically.”
According to Revance, the manufacturer of RT00, it is a (Botulinum toxin type A) topical gel designed to reduce crow’s feet by relaxing the muscles around the eyes the same the same way one would with injectable Botox. RT001 uses transcutaneous technology to deliver without the active ingredient need for needles or injections. Revance hopes that its Botox in a jar will appeal to those patients leery of needles and injection related side effects (go to goo.gl/gLqU6).
Dr. Ourian has been a pioneer in laser technology and non-invasive aesthetic procedures including Restylane, Juvéderm, Radiesse and Sculptra. These treatments are used for the correction or reversal of a variety of conditions such as acne, acne scars, skin discoloration, wrinkles, stretch marks, varicose veins, cellulite, and others. More information about using Botox can be found on Epione’s website.
