Bon Secours Charity Health System Appoints Terence M. O'Brien as Chief Executive Officer

Bon Secours Charity Health System announced today the appointment of Terence M. O'Brien as its new chief executive officer. O'Brien's selection follows an in-depth national search for the position vacated following the departure of former CEO Dominick Stanzione in June. O'Brien will assume his new position on February 2, 2009, leading a regional healthcare delivery system, which is comprised of a regional medical center, two community hospitals, a certified home health agency, two long-term care facilities, an assisted living and adult home facility, and several other off-site medical programs. O'Brien comes to Bon Secours Heath Systems from Lenox Hill Hospital, a 650 bed, major teaching hospital, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side.

(PRWEB) December 18, 2008 -- Bon Secours Charity Health System announced today the appointment of Terence M. O'Brien as its new chief executive officer. O'Brien's selection follows an in-depth national search for the position vacated following the departure of former CEO Dominick Stanzione in June. O'Brien will assume his new position on February 2, 2009, leading a regional healthcare delivery system, which is comprised of a regional medical center, two community hospitals, a certified home health agency, two long-term care facilities, an assisted living and adult home facility, and several other off-site medical programs.

Terry comes to Bon Secours Heath Systems from Lenox Hill Hospital, a 650 bed, major teaching hospital, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Lenox Hill was named one of the top 50 Hospitals in the 2008 U.S. News and World Report rankings in the areas of Heart & Heart Surgery (25) and Orthopedics (32). Terry currently serves as the Hospital's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as the Administrative Director of the Lenox Hill Healthcare Network, an IPA of 750 affiliated physicians and 5 affiliated hospit
