Boise(R) BEWARE(TM) Meets New Federal Guidelines Set Forth by Medicaid

Leading Anti-Copy Paper is Further Proof of Boise's Leadership in the

Premium and Specialty Papers Market

BENSENVILLE, Ill., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Boise Paper, a division of Boise Cascade, L.L.C., today announced that Boise(R) BEWARE(TM), an anti-copy/anti-scan paper is in compliance with new Federal guidelines regarding paper-based security features in Medicaid papers. The legislation will go into affect on October 1, 2007.

Boise(R) BEWARE(TM) utilizes AuthentiGuard(R) Pantograph 4000(TM), a technology developed by Document Security Systems, Inc. (DSS), a leader in proven, patented protection against counterfeiting and unauthorized copying, scanning and photo imaging.

"Our customers in the health care industry have always relied on Boise BEWARE's superior anti-copying technology, and we will continue to go the extra mile to provide the quality our customers have come to expect," said Geo Plumberg, Product Manager at Boise. "Boise has a long history of working with DSSI and trust its leading anti-counterfeiting technologies, which are proven to be the most effective defense against counterfeiting and fraud."

Boise BEWARE employs AuthentiGuard(R) Pantograph 4000(TM) technologies which results in copies of the original document displaying the word "VOID", rendering a fake useless. Another feature of Boise BEWARE is erasable background inks which lightens where erasure is attempted, preventing counterfeiters from modifying existing documents.

In addition to medical prescriptions, Boise BEWARE is also commonly used for legal documents, coupons, business contracts, copyrighted materials and visitor badges. The product features color tinted, acid-free sheets, and comes in 8.5X11" and 25x38" sizes. The product is also available in custom colors, custom hidden words and/or varying paper weights.
