'Body Shop' Exhibit at 2009 Farm Show to Offer Free Flu Shots
Date:1/8/2009

HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Visitors to this year's Pennsylvania Farm Show can take advantage of free flu shots and other helpful resources by stopping at the Department of Health's "Body Shop" exhibit.

"Pennsylvania's flu season got off to a relatively slow start, but reports of flu are now on the rise. Getting a flu shot now is the best way to protect your health and reduce your risk of illness," said acting Secretary of Health Everette James.

Designed to interest adults and children, the Body Shop exhibit offers resources including blood pressure screenings and information on smoking cessation, hygiene and other health issues. Partners include the Penn State School of Nursing and the Harrisburg Area Community College Massage Therapy School, which will offer free chair massages.

The 2009 Pennsylvania Farm Show runs Jan. 10-17 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg. Admission is free and parking is $8. For more information, visit www.farmshow.state.pa.us.
