Blueforce Awarded Patent for Decentralized Sensor Fusion
Date:6/19/2013

Newburyport, MA (PRWEB) June 19, 2013

Blueforce Development Corporation, a leader in secure mobile collaboration and sensor machine software, today announced it has been awarded United States Patent Number 8,467,779 for its Decentralized Fusion Engine technology. The award coincides with a highly successful product launch and the acquisition of key strategic partnerships.

Blueforce Development creates and delivers unique mobile and wireless collaboration and machine-to-machine (M2M) software products that support the rapid formation of small units tasked with actions in defense, homeland security, intelligence community, law enforcement, public and personal safety, and critical infrastructure protection markets.

The recently awarded Blueforce patent spotlights the secure exchange of decision data using mobile devices for operational efficiency and life safety leveraging person-carried or person-attached sensors. Such perspective and context is necessary for superior decision-making to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and overcome problems that arise on the individual and team level in highly fluid situations. The patent covers decentralized and distributed processing of human collaborative data, location data, and sensor data in edge-to-center, edge-to-edge communications, and M2M exchanges.

“When we founded Blueforce, we set forth to build products and services that increase operational efficiency while also optimizing life safety for the men and women working in harm’s way as part of national security operations,” said Michael Helfrich, founder and CEO of Blueforce. “The innovations underlying this patent demonstrate our commitment to providing highly mobile teams with all-channel access to location, collaborative tools, and fused sensor data to enable superior decision-making using a decentralized systems approach to moving mission critical decision data.”
