SAN FRANCISCO, March 23 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Blue Shield of California announced two additions to its senior management team on Tuesday, promoting Rob Geyer and Janet Widmann to senior vice president. The promotions are an extension of previous changes announced by chairman and CEO Bruce Bodaken earlier this year, when Paul Markovich was promoted to chief operating officer.
Geyer, previously vice president of customer service & claims, was named senior vice president of customer operations. He is now responsible for the entire customer operations group, including customer service, claims, installation & membership, and operations finance. Geyer will report to Bodaken.
Widmann, previously vice president of CalPERS, Labor, Public and Strategic Accounts, will now be senior vice president responsible for her previous portfolio as well as all product development for mid-size and large business groups. She will continue to report to Paul Markovich.

Geyer joined Blue Shield in 1995, and during his fourteen years with the company, he has served in a variety of leadership roles.
