Blue Cross Names Two New Senior Vice Presidents

Prior to joining Blue Cross, Eppel served as vice president of business development for Allina Hospitals and Clinics. In this role, he was in charge of identification, analysis and implementation of opportunities that furthered Allina's market, clinical and strategic goals. Eppel's tenure at Allina also involved serving as vice president of revenue management and improvement, where he was responsible for revenue and reimbursement strategies. Eppel previously held executive positions at Medica and UnitedHealth Group.

Eppel has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.

About Kathy Mock

A licensed attorney, Kathy Mock has more than two decades of experience in law and public policy. Before joining Blue Cross in 1992, she served as government affairs counsel and director of administration and research for the Insurance Federation of Minnesota.

Mock is chair of the Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association and currently serves on the boards of the Minnesota Comprehensive Health Association; the Minnesota Council of Health Plans; the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation; the Alliance for Advancing Nonprofit Health Care; and the Citizens League, where is the immediate past chair. She also served as a 2004-2005 policy fellow with the Humphrey Institute Policy Forum. Mock is a graduate of the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul and the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota.
