Blue Cross Names Three New Executives

pleted a post-doctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology at The Ohio State University, a residency in pediatrics at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and an allergy immunology fellowship at the University of Michigan. He was in private clinical practice for several years and was board certified in both pediatrics and allergy immunology. He is a frequent invited speaker on a wide range of health care topics and has published numerous articles on subjects that include pharmacology, immunology, managed care and public health.

About Pam Lux

Prior to being promoted to vice president of internal and external communications, Lux was the director of public relations and internal communications at Blue Cross. Lux will oversee communications across the company including the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Foundation and Prevention Minnesota, Blue Cross' initiative resulting from the 1998 tobacco settlement.

Lux has also been a public relations and marketing consultant and has more than 20 years of experience. Her experience includes leadership positions at other health care organizations in Minnesota. Lux has been involved in local and national health care associations and held leadership positions. She holds a national accreditation in public relations, is a graduate of the College of St. Catherine, and serves as an instructor in the health programs at the University of St. Thomas.

About Mary Robb

Before becoming vice president of integrated health management, Robb was senior director of integrated health management in the government programs area at Blue Cross. She is now responsible for the leadership of integrated care management including case management, disease management and utilization management for all lines of business, including government and commercial. She is also responsible for specialty programs including behavioral health and the employee assistance and prenatal prog
