Wheelock becomes chair, McNerney is vice chair, Field now secretary and treasurer
EAGAN, Minn., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (Blue Cross) board of trustees has elected new board leaders. Pamela Wheelock, vice president and leadership/community engagement team leader of the Bush Foundation, will become chair of the Blue Cross board of trustees. She most recently held the position of vice chair. Wheelock has been on the board for six years, and most recently chaired the finance and business development committees prior to being elected chair.
Peter McNerney, general partner, Thomas, McNerney & Partners LLC, was elected vice chair of the board. McNerney joined the Blue Cross board in 2002 and has served on the human resources, finance, business development and investment committees.
Benjamin Field, retired senior financial advisor at Bemis Company Inc., was named as secretary for the board, and will continue to serve as board treasurer. Field serves as chair of the audit committee and has been a member of the board for six years.
