Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PRWEB) October 29, 2013

Black Box Corporation, a leading communications system integrator, announced today it has partnered with Phybridge Inc., a provider of innovative voice over IP solutions. The award winning Phybridge switches eliminate network barriers and enable enterprises with older phone systems to migrate to IP telephony and optimize their LAN for convergence. They deliver connectivity and power over a single pair of wires with four times the reach of traditional switches. This allows customers to transform their existing voice infrastructure into an IP network.

“Our customers want quality of service, voice continuity, and a converged network that is highly secure and easy to manage. The Phybridge switch allows Black Box to deliver innovation with confidence. We continue to bring our clients a choice of how to best deploy their VoIP solutions. With Phybridge we can offer a transition plan to VoIP that saves budget dollars and time while delivering a secure and reliable infrastructure.” said Michael Laughlin Vice President Strategic Relationships at Black Box Network Services.

One of the entities benefitting from the interoperability of Phybridge and Black Box Network Services’ solutions is New Mexico State University. Ray Cadena, Manager, Telecommunication Systems at NMSU commented, “Black Box and Phybridge were able to deliver a simple and cost effective solution for our campus to migrate to a VoIP telephony solution without additional complexity and reach limitations. Phybridge gave NMSU the ability to deploy our new VoIP solution on our existing point to point voice infrastructure and significantly reduced project time and cost.”
