Date:9/22/2013

New York, New York (PRWEB) September 22, 2013

Biomet hip lawsuits (http://www.consumerinjurylawyers.com/biomet-magnum-hip-replacement) involving the M2a Magnum Hip Replacement System continue to move forward in a federal multidistrict litigation underway in U.S. District Court, Northern District of Indiana, Bernstein Liebhard LLP reports. According to court documents, 652 Biomet hip replacement claims are now pending in the litigation. The Court will convene the litigation’s next Status Conference on September 23, 2013, at 9:30 a.m. (In re: Biomet M2a Magnum Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation – MDL No. 2391)

The Firm continues to offer free and confidential legal evaluations to individuals who may have been injured by this Biomet hip replacement.

Biomet Hip Replacement Litigation
According to court records, all of the Biomet hip lawsuits filed in the Northern District of Indiana allege its metal-on-metal design can cause the hip to shed dangerous amounts of metal debris, leading to serious complications, including premature failure. In many cases, plaintiffs say they have been forced to undergo painful revision surgeries to have the M2a Magnum hip removed and replaced. However, due to bone and tissue loss allegedly caused by the Biomet hip replacement, many of these patients continue to suffer from pain and disability.
