Beyond OCD Launches Future Vision of Organization
Date:9/6/2013

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 06, 2013

Ken Wexler, Acting President of the Board of Beyond OCD, announced that the organization has hired its first development professional. Sally A. Ruecking has accepted the position of Chief Advancement Officer to take the 20-year-old organization to the next level. A veteran of non-profit management and development and former Vice President of Corporate Relations for the American Lung Association, Ms. Ruecking is excited to create diverse partnerships in Chicagoland and throughout the country with individuals, corporations and foundations. She recognizes that non-profits have to fill the void of donor fatigue and an aging population of donors so the idea of a Young Professional Board to capture the leadership talent of young professionals was created. Each member of the Young Professional Board will be an ambassador of Beyond OCD and will work to support the mission, which is to increase public and professional awareness of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), educate and support people with OCD and their families, and encourage research into new treatments and a cure.

The Young Professional Board will connect and foster relationships with the OCD community at large, young professionals and the general public by creating special events and other activities to increase awareness of OCD and Beyond OCD’s comprehensive resources available for the public. They are also tasked with creating meaningful relationships with a new generation of donors. Their first event will be during the week of National OCD Awareness, October 14 through 20, 2013, and will target young working professionals in Chicago. Serving as its President, Julia M. Momkus of Per Se Group, Inc. will lead this group of energetic men and women. Ruecking states that “Julia has the leadership skills and persuasiveness needed to engage others in helping the Young Professional Board meet their year one revenue goal of $50,00
