Best Practice Database Adds Research on Merger Integration and Competitive Intelligence
Date:5/20/2008

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- New research that delivers insights into merger and acquisition integration and competitive intelligence data gathering for the pharma industry is now available in the Best Practice Database, an online research repository managed by research and consulting firm Best Practices, LLC.

To review sample key findings and key metrics in these studies, go to a landing page with links to each study at this address: http://www3.best-in-class.com/dr305.htm .

The Database is an online resource containing more than $30 million in proprietary research conducted on behalf of executives from Fortune 500 companies. You can use this tool to quickly locate studies that identify best practices and metrics in the areas most important to you and your company.

Research added this month to the Best Practice Database includes a benchmarking study on the key success factors in the merger & acquisition integration process for pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Experienced integration champions noted that often the structure for managing an acquired asset will change over a 12-36 month period. Cost reduction, milestone progress, and performance above or below expected performance targets are key drivers of structure change, according to the study.

Also new to the Database this month are studies that explore how organizations can optimize their competitive intelligence operations while working within defined guidelines and the changing landscape of safety and risk management for the pharma industry.

The new research is available in these Best Practice Database Documents (with ID Number):
