New Performance Management Study Recognizes Halogen’s Leading Market Share, Strong Vertical Offerings and Exceptional Customer Service

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) October 16, 2008 -- Halogen Software today announced that is has been ranked as a market leader in the new The Essential Guide to Performance Management Systems study released by Bersin & Associates. Halogen was a top ranked vendor in the study, with the company’s vertical offering, outstanding customer service and support, and highly configurable offering identified by Bersin & Associates as key differentiators for the company. The study also states that Halogen offers one of the most well-adopted and fully integrated talent management suites on the market.

The study indicates that the performance management systems market continues to be the fastest growing subsector in the Human Capital Management (HCM) and will soon be the biggest talent management segment. Bersin & Associates estimates the market at $250 million for 2008. Other key findings in the study include: the performance management market has been redefined as it has become the core of the talent management suite and that the market is now at the point where these systems can drive tremendously high return on investment.

“Halogen is a market leader and appears on most of the short lists included this report,” said Leighanne Levensaler, director of talent management research for Bersin & Associates. “Halogen demonstrates a flexible, customer-driven approach to talent management with outstanding customer service and support and a unique understanding of mid-market enterprise needs. The company augments these strengths with strong vertical expertise in industry segments such as healthcare, finance and professional services.”

The Bersin & Associates study cites Halogen’s deep expertise and leadership in supporting critical performance management initiatives, and found Halogen’s performance management capabilities to be highly configurable and comprehensive in every one of their evaluation scenarios. Halogen’s HR Control Centre is designed to ensure customers do not have to rely on IT involvement to make changes to the workflow, forms, or user interface.

Halogen customers attest to this flexibility and ease of configuration. "Halogen is highly intuitive and I like the fact that we could make changes to the process ourselves," said Timothy Haines, Director of HR, Quaker Chemical. "We do not have to go to the vendor and wait on their production people. Even with our deploying a hosted solution we are still in control."

Halogen was identified in the study as one of the only vendors with vertical offerings, with its focus on healthcare, financial services and professional services. These industry specific offerings have been consistently noted by Halogen customers as a key competitive differentiator. "We needed to find a vendor that knows this market, and understands the specific needs of healthcare. We didn't want to be forced to use off-the-shelf competencies, but that's all most of the other vendors offered. We were thrilled when we found Halogen, since eAppraisal Healthcare is endorsed by the AHA and we're in good company with over 400 healthcare organizations using the technology,” explained Celine Craig, Director of Human Resources, King's Daughters Medical Center.
