Baxa Corporation Signs Strategic Reseller Agreement With MedKeeper for Web-Based Productivity Tool

Baxa Corporation announces its agreement with MedKeeper to market and sell

a Web-based program that tracks pharmacy doses from order entry to

delivery.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Nov. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Baxa Corporation has signed a strategic reseller agreement with MedKeeper to promote its Web-based pharmacy dose tracking software. Under the agreement, Baxa Corporation has exclusive sales and distribution rights for all worldwide healthcare markets for the MedKeeper software.

"We are excited about the opportunities that this agreement represents for improving pharmacy operations," stated Greg Baldwin, Baxa CEO. "The MedKeeper software complements Baxa syringe filling products and accessories, providing a means to track prepared doses to ensure that they reach their destination." The MedKeeper application provides pharmacy with the means to track the time it takes to prepare and approve drug doses, and subsequently follows them until they have been administered -- preventing losses and reducing the need for calls from nursing to track orders.

Denver-based MedKeeper specializes in software tools that support clinical pharmacy. According to company President Jason Kilgour, "Our products focus on streamlining pharmacy communications, eliminating unnecessary costs, ensuring regulatory compliance and enhancing pharmacy practice. Working together supports Baxa Corporation's strategic focus on providing productivity and compliance tools for pharmacy."

Baxa Corporation plans to launch the MedKeeper software tool at the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Mid-Year Meeting in Las Vegas, December 2 - 5. The company's booth will focus on promoting its suite of productivity and compliance tools for improving pharmacy performance.
