Barcode Joins the Battle of the Bulge in New iPhone App
Date:3/3/2010

A new iPhone app designed to help consumers keep track of their calories by scanning the barcodes on food items has gone on sale on the App Store

(PRWeb UK) March 3, 2010 -- The Quickka Calories PRO iPhone app is aimed at people who want to keep track of their daily nutritional intake by scanning the barcodes of items that they eat.

According to the app’s developers, the goal behind Quickka Calories PRO is to offer consumers a quick and easy way to keep track of what they eat. Although the app is primarily aimed at those who want to keep an eye on their weight, the app also lets users monitor their carbohydrate, fat, protein and salt intake. The app's database of barcodes is constantly growing and already covers a wide range of popular snack food lines and beverages. And with the ability to point, shoot, and scan, dieters out there are sure to agree that snacking (and calori
