NEW YORK, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- BTIG LLC, an institutional broker dealer specializing in trading and related brokerage services, will donate equity and derivative trading commission profits earned on Tuesday, May 19 to a group of nonprofit organizations.

With charitable giving suffering due to the economic downturn, BTIG has committed to continue its philanthropic efforts with its 7th Commissions for Charity Day. BTIG has selected several nonprofit organizations that deal with important issues facing children across the country to receive BTIG's equity and derivative commission profits earned on May 19. The nonprofit organizations below have been selected to participate in Commissions for Charity Day:

"We are excited to be partnering with such impactful organizations to help our communities and future generations prosper and are thrilled that so many of their ambassadors will be joining us," said Steven Starker, Co-founder of BTIG.
