BMI of Texas Makes San Antonio Weight Loss Surgery More Affordable; Offers Discount for Self-Pay Patients for Bariatric Surgery Procedures

The Bariatric Medical Institute of Texas (BMI of Texas) today announced a $1,000 discount for self-pay patients having weight loss surgery, including the sleeve gastrectomy procedure, performed by one of its surgeons before January 1, 2014. The promotion applies only to self-pay patients and the surgical procedure (gastric bypass, lap band or gastric sleeve) must take place on or before December 31, 2013.

“For self-pay patients, the cost of weight loss surgery can be a significant factor in the patient’s decision to undergo surgery or not. We hope that offering this discount will enable some of our self-pay patients to afford the weight loss surgery procedure they choose – and help them lead a healthier life,” said Dr. Terive Duperier.

BMI of Texas surgeons include Dr. Duperier, Dr. Mickey Seger and Dr. Richard Englehardt. Dr. Duperier and Dr. Seger are designated an ASMBS Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence and have been repeatedly recognized by Scene in S.A. magazine in the magazine’s annual listing of the city’s top doctors. Dr. Jenny Seger, who heads up the practice’s medical weight loss program, was also recognized as a “Best of 2012” doctor in the Bariatric Medicine and Family Medicine categories.

BMI of Texas is committed to helping patients achieve success in their battle against obesity utilizing a variety of proven weight loss methods including gastric bypass, lap band, gastric sleeve and revision surgery, or through its medical weight loss program.
