BMA Affordable Assisted Living to Host Stardusk Senior Night

Heritage Woods of McLeansboro, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a Stardusk Senior Night from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 24.

The community, which is located at 605 S. Marshall in McLeansboro, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

“Join us for an evening of music and fine dining as we remember a bygone era,” says Kendra Millenbine, Administrator of Heritage Woods of McLeansboro.

The event will feature a prime rib dinner and the music of Mark Auten and is open to the public.

Heritage Woods is the only senior living community is Hamilton County to be certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

“We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Millenbine. “Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications.”

Each of the studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods of McLeansboro features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities and special events such as the Stardust Senior Night,” says Millenbine.

“Our focus,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, “is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need.”

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Benton, Flora and Mt. Vernon, Illinois, and the Prairie Living affordable assisted living community in Carbondale.
