Date:4/24/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) April 24, 2013

Cambridge House of Maryville, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting a "Meet & Greet" with U.S. Rep. John Shimkus at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 29.

The community, which is located at 6960 State Rte. 162 in Maryville, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Rep. Shimkus represents the 15th Congressional District of Illinois in the U.S. House of Representatives.

"We invite you to take advantage of this opportunity to meet your congressman," says Tracy Skaer-Henry, Administrator of Cambridge House of Maryville.

Light refreshments will be served.

For more information, call Cambridge House of Maryville at 618-288-2211.

Cambridge House of Maryville is one of three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities located in the St. Louis Metro East area. Cambridge House communities also are located in O'Fallon and Swansea, Illinois.

All three communities operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and are managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

"Our communities provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Henry. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

One-bedoom and two-bedroom apartments are available, with each of the apartments featuring a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special programs," says Henry.

BMA Management, the company that operates the three Cambridge House affordable assisted living communities, is based in Bradley, Illinois.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA, "is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need."

BMA manages 36 senior living communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

Communities managed by BMA include the Prairie Living affordable assisted living community in Carbondale, Illinois, and the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Benton, Flora, McLeansboro, and Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

BMA also manages Heritage Woods in Centralia, Illinois. The community features affordable assisted living apartments, senior living apartments and rental homes for low-income adults 55 and older.
