Heritage Woods of Batavia, a BMA affordable assisted living community in Kane County, Illinois, is hosting its annual Senior Prom from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
The community, which is located at 1079 E. Wilson Street in Batavia, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.
“This year, our prom will have a military theme,” says Jennifer Hanke, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Batavia. The prom will feature live music by Rat Pack Jazz, dancing, appetizers and other refreshments.
“We also will be crowning our 2013 Senior Prom Queen and King,” says Hanke.
Tickets are $14 each.

Each of the private apartments at Heritage Woods of Batavia features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.
Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.
“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in activities and special events such as our annual Senior Prom,” says Hanke.
Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA Management operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities in Illinois that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.
