BMA Affordable Assisted Living Community to Host Informational Program on Long-Term Care Insurance
Date:5/12/2013

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) May 12, 2013

Heritage Woods of Watseka, a BMA affordable assisted living community, is hosting an informational program on Long-Term care Insurance at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 16.

The community, which is located at 577 E. Martin Ave. in Watseka, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

Local professionals from Thrivent Financial will present the program, which is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

“We invite you to come and lean about long-term care insurance and how it can help cover the cost of assisted living and nursing home care,” says Kristen Anchor, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Watseka.

For more information about the program or the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available at Heritage Woods of Watseka, call 815-432-4560.

Heritage Woods of Watseka is the only community for older adults in Iroquois County, Illinois that is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program.

The community is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., of Bradley, Illinois.

“We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Tracy Powell, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Watseka. “Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications.”

Private studio and one-bedroom apartments are available. Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and participate in social activities and special programs,” says Powell.

BMA Management, the company that operates Heritage Woods of Watseka, is the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

The company manages 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

“Our focus,” says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA Management, “is to provide residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the help and assistance that they need.”

Communities managed by BMA include the Bowman Estates affordable assisted living community in Danville, the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living community in Manteno, and the Prairie Winds affordable assisted living community in Urbana.

BMA also manages Bridle Brook of Mahomet, an assisted living and memory care community in Champaign County.
