BMA Affordable Assisted Living Community to Honor Mothers with Tea and Fashion Show

Bradley, IL (PRWEB) May 06, 2013

Heritage Woods of Ottawa, a BMA affordable assisted living community, will be honoring mothers with a Tea and Fashion Show at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10.

The community, which is located at 801 E. Etna Rd. in Ottawa, Illinois, serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

"Come join us as we celebrate Mother's Day a couple of days early," says Deb Pusateri, Director of Marketing for Heritage Woods of Ottawa.

Residents and staff of Heritage Woods will be modeling the fashions in the Fashion Show.

The event is open to the public. There is no charge to attend.

"We provide older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Pusateri. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment and receiving personal assistance and help with medications."

Each of the private studio and one-bedroom apartments at Heritage Woods of Ottawa features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

"Residents also benefit from all of the opportunities that are available to socialize with friends and neighbors and to participate in social activities such our Tea and Fashion Show," says Pusateri.

Heritage Woods of Ottawa is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illlinois.

"Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve and the help and assistance that they need," says Rod Burkett, President and CEO of BMA.

The company operates 36 assisted living, senior living and memory care communities that together house nearly 3,400 homes and apartments.

Communities managed by BMA include the Heritage Woods affordable assisted living communities in Aledo, DeKalb, Dwight, Moline, Ottawa, Plainfield and Yorkville, Illinois.

BMA is developing a Heritage Woods affordable assisted living community in Freeport, Illinois in partnership with the Stephenson County Nursing Center Foundation. The community is scheduled to open for occupancy this summer; reservations are being accepted.
