Minnesota(SM)

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Starting Friday, September 7, a dramatic new billboard will catch the eye of motorists on Interstate 94 near Rogers, Minnesota. Supported by a 30-foot cigarette crushed out in a giant ashtray, the billboard will call attention to QUITPLAN(R) Services, Clearway Minnesota's free quit-smoking services for Minnesotans. The billboard is on display near the Cabela's outdoor goods store in Rogers.

"We've had tremendous feedback regarding the billboard in its previous locations in Fridley and Rochester," said David Willoughby, ClearWay Minnesota Chief Executive Officer. "The giant cigarette is eye-catching, and conveys the simple message that we can help Minnesota smokers snuff out their smoking habit for good. With the statewide smoke-free law fast approaching, now is the perfect time to take advantage of our free QUITPLAN Services and make a healthier choice for your body."

Created by local advertising agency Clarity Coverdale Fury in tandem with 3 Ring Scenic Production Company, the giant cigarette billboard also won an OBIE award for BEST Public Service Outdoor Advertisement in 2006. The OBIEs are awarded by the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.

QUITPLAN Services was launched in 2001, and since then more than 10,000 Minnesotans have used the program to successfully stop smoking. Minnesotans who want free quit-smoking help can call QUITPLAN Services at 1-888-354-PLAN to learn about all the available options.

QUITPLAN(R) Services for Minnesotans include:

-- The QUITPLAN(R) Helpline - The QUITPLAN Helpline offers telephone

counseling and free nicotine patches, lozenges or gum to eligible

callers.
