Avizent Executive Earns DMEC Partnership Award

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- National claims and risk management provider Avizent announced today that Adrienne Paler, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, has earned the 2009 Partnership Award presented by the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC).

The Partnership Award recognizes DMEC members who have provided outstanding support to the organization. Ms. Paler worked to write and enhance the Certified Professional Disability Manager (CPDM) program curriculum along with four other employer and vendor partners who were among this year's winners. The CPDM is a professional designation offered through the Insurance Educational Association.

The criteria for the DMEC's annual award includes a long-standing membership, participation in chapter and national committees, a personal commitment to volunteer time, a passion for the advancement of absence and disability management, and a willingness to promote DMEC programs to other professionals.

One of the areas that the DMEC promotes is integrated disability management. This is a key service offering in the third party claims administration (TPA) industry and a valuable aspect of Avizent's membership in the group - lending the company a level of expertise not many TPAs have.

In addition to Ms. Paler's work on the CPDM program, she also serves on the Employer Advisory Board for the National DMEC and is the Secretary for the Oregon-SW Washington Chapter. She holds a Master's degree in Management as well as two certifications - CPDM and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources).
