Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) December 30, 2012
Andrew Hawley of Vintage Rock Posters, a collector of fillmore era rock concert posters, announces finding a vintage 1968 Janis Joplin Alexander Roller Rink Concert Poster. The concert was held on October 20, 1968. According to Hawley, “The poster was found in Denver. The seller was given the poster as a birthday present over 30 years ago. The seller received a $3,000 cash reward for this poster. To had have attended this show must have been a treat and knocked the wheels off the roller skates with Janis Joplin and the Big Brother and the Holding Company back up with the Jeff Beck Group. The Jeff Beck Group at that time included Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood now with the Rolling Stones. The lucky attendee got all this music for $4.00.”
Hawley continues, “The poster is a classic boxing style, fillmore era, rock n roll concert poster. It measures 22 x 28 inches. Maryland poster artist Dail W. Beeghly created this poster. He also was the poster artist for many The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and James Brown shows in the late 1960s.”
The poster received was not in good condition and Hawley is looking for a nicer original 1968 Janis Joplin Alexander Roller Rink Concert Poster. He is willing to pay a cash reward for the this poster and other Janis Joplin Poster for shows between 1967 and 1970.
