Availity Achieves Excellence in Blended Learning Award

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Jan. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Availity, LLC was recognized as the 2008 winner of the Excellence in Blended Learning award at the eighth annual Excellence in Employee Development Awards ceremony December 9, 2008 in Jacksonville, FL. The University of North Florida (UNF) Division of Continuing Education recognized Availity's Learning and Documentation Services (L&DS) team, along with other award winners, at a luncheon attended by the best and brightest workplace professionals in the North Florida region.

The award ceremony recognized companies, organizations, departments, teams, and individuals whose outstanding achievements have significantly advanced workplace learning and performance. Availity's L&DS team earned the Excellence in Blended Learning award, in the 150-400 employees category, for outstanding achievement in developing and implementing an effective blended learning solution. Blended learning refers to a combination of learning solutions, such as e-learning, web conference training, live instructor-led training, online performance support tools, and interactive-classroom sessions.

The Excellence in Employee Development Awards were presented by the UNF Division of Continuing Education, along with its sponsors, the Northeast Florida Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development, the Jacksonville Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the Florida Ready to Work program, and Gilstrap & Associates. Winners were chosen by a select group of highly-qualified professionals from the American Society for Training and Development, Society for Human Resource Management, and the UNF Division of Continuing Education Dean's Council.
