AvMed Health Plans unveils new Small Group Plans

MIAMI, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- AvMed Health Plans, a leading health benefits provider for large and small group employers, announces the addition of competitive new plans to its small group portfolio, including plans that are 50% less than existing plans. These plans offer low co-payments for routine office visits to a PCP and specialist (including OB) and low co-pays for prescription drugs. AvMed also introduced new pairing choices, giving small group employers more flexibility than ever before.

The new plans include:

-- Pricing at over 50% less than the base plan (for some plans)

-- Varying levels of deductibles with low co-payments for PCP, specialists

and Rx

-- No lifetime maximum

-- Benefit and contract enhancements that include:

-- Reduced Rx co-pays for mail order prescription drugs

-- Free mammograms

-- Full-time student eligibility to age 25
