MIAMI, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- AvMed Health Plans said today that President and CEO Doug Cueny has announced plans to retire December 31, 2007. Prior to becoming AvMed's President and CEO, he served as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer. He also is concluding a two-year stint as chairman of the board of the Florida Association of Health Plans.
Joe Dunlap, Chairman of the Board, expressed his thanks to Cueny for his many years of service to the company and his outstanding leadership. "Over the years, Doug has made a substantial contribution both to AvMed and in improving the health and well-being of Floridians, and we wish him all the best in retirement."
