Authors Misti Galves And Sheri Malvestuto’s Newly Released “A Box Of Depends & A Bottle Of Tequila” Is An Engaging And Powerful Book On Alzheimer’s And Its Challenges
Date:10/2/2017

“A Box of Depends & A Bottle of Tequila”: an intense and powerful journey reflecting on a loved one’s diagnosis with Alzheimer’s. “A Box of Depends & A Bottle of Tequila” is the creation of published author, Misti Galves, a caregiver with first-hand knowledge and insight into the world of dementia and Alzheimer’s, and Sheri Malvestuto, founder of Bobby’s Way, whose personal story is shared in this book.

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Misti Galves and Sheri Malvestuto’s new book is a powerful and personal reflection on having a loved one with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

People have bad days, sometimes even dreadful days. Imagine having the worst day ever, then being stuck re-experiencing that same day for six years. When Sheri’s husband was diagnosed with a disease that mimicked Alzheimer’s that is exactly what happened.

The disease was not widely known then, and many times Sheri had to learn what to do by trial and error. No amount of prep work prepared Sheri to cope with her husband’s diagnosis and challenges. Due to the limited amount of resources available, Sheri founded a franchise dealing with in-home care. Sheri worked insane hours trying to support her husband and find some sense in all the misery.

The help of others, and a little humor, made these experiences more bearable. Sheri shares her life in this book in the hopes of helping others who have no one else to turn to.
