Author Rachel Jamerson’s Newly Released “Learning to Use Your SPIRITUAL COMPASS To Navigate Life Issues” Guides Readers to Use the Bible as a Map to Life.
Date:4/24/2017

“Learning to Use Your SPIRITUAL COMPASS To Navigate Life Issues”: a guide to using the Bible to navigate life. “Learning to Use Your SPIRITUAL COMPASS To Navigate Life Issues” is the creation of published author, Rachel Jamerson, writer of 25 years, Crisis Counselor for various nonprofits, former Chairman of the Board of Directors for CONTACT USA, and former member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Rachel studied accounting at Guilford Technical College in Jamestown, NC and Patrick Henry College in Martinsville, Va. Rachel was also trained in Inductive Bible Study at Precepts International in Tennessee. She received crisis intervention training from her local CONTACT USA chapter as well as the American Association of Christian Counselors. Her writing is inspired by personal experiences, especially those things that touch her heart. She loves Southern Gospel music and likes to sew. She is a widow with three grown daughters and eight grandchildren.

“How many times have you found yourself trudging through a dismal muddy swamp because you asked the wrong person for directions? Does your search for answers only lead to more questions? The thousands of decisions we make each day, have a permanent effect on our lives. With so much at stake, how do we make the right choices?” --Rachel Jamerson

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Rachel Jamerson’s new book encourages readers to study the scriptures and to use their Bible as a map.

When a pebble is dropped into a pond, a ripple spreads across the entire surface of the water. Once the pebble gives life to the wave, it will touch every molecule of water, until it is reflected or deflected in on itself. It will then continue to reverberate throughout all that it touches. The same is true in all aspects of life. Decisions set into motion reactions that will continue to impact everyone affected by those decisions.

Once a decision is made, it must be allowed to run its course. Whether good or bad, the consequences are unavoidable. “Spiritual Compass” takes the reader on a simple walk through the scriptures and offers insights derived from the personal journey of others. The ability to skillfully use God’s word when navigating difficult issues is vital to making sound decisions. It is the author’s hope that the reader will become skilled in the use of the only reliable map available for life's journey.
