Author Faron Golden’s Newly Released “Lessons From Life” Provides a Look at Some Principles Gleaned From “the School of Hard Knocks.”
Date:3/17/2017

“Lessons From Life” is the creation of published author, Faron Golden, church planter and the senior pastor of Lake Pointe Baptist Church in Dadeville, Alabama. He and his wife, Nancy, have been in ministry together since their marriage in December of 1991. Faron also served as a pastor of several churches in both full-time and bi-vocational roles. He is retired from the United States Marine Corps where his background included assignments as a signals intelligence analyst, senior enlisted advisor, and military liaison for Naval Mobile Construction Battalion. An accomplished speaker, Faron has been the keynote at a variety of venues. Faron blogs as brotherfaron at http://brotherfaron.wordpress.com.

“Many of us will move through life day by day and we will focus on the big things: graduating from school, getting married, landing a job that pays more, and so on. But what does the school of hard knocks teach us about little things? Do the little things matter? We travel the journey of life with the mindset that our life is our own and we can do with it as we please. Does our example impact or influence anyone other than ourselves? When we face tough decisions, especially when no one else is looking, does it matter if we do what is right? Is what we believe important or do we even need faith at all?” - Faron Golden

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Faron Golden’s new book shares some hard-learned lessons.

In life, even the best of the best find themselves facing the “F” word. That is failure. It is not, however, failure that matters. It is how a person deals with failures that matters. Everyone goes through the “school of hard knocks.” For some, the lessons learned from “the school of hard knocks” is more valuable, or at least more practical, than the knowledge gained from formal education. For everyone else, the question is what are invaluable lessons people learn from the “school of hard knocks”?

Drawing on the experiences of a fighter pilot shot down during the Vietnam War, along with his own experiences, the author shares some of the things he has personally learned in life.
