Austin Mahone, a 17-year old singer/songwriter, is now ready to take the challenge of stardom. With his looks and voice, Mahone is making his mark on the music scene. He was able to fill the Best Buy Theater in New York in terms of ticket sales. His current single entitled “Say Somethin” is gaining popularity among music fans and is rapidly going up the music charts. His first hit single that was released on iTunes was his original composition, “11:11." Mahone is enjoying his own fan base called Mahomies in addition to legions of fans and followers in the media, especially the social networking sites. He has made several live appearances and guest appearances on shows like Access Hollywood, Live! With Kelly & Michael, The Insider, Popstar!, E! News, MTV, VH1 to name a few.

Austin Carter Mahone got started in June 2010. He became known for recording and posting videos on YouTube together with Alex Constancio, his longtime friend. It was his grandfather who taught Mahone to play guitar and in fact, his first guitar came from his grandfather. Additionally, he learned to play the drums at the young age of six. According to Mahone, he was not actually a musical kind of person before becoming a YouTube sensation. One of the keys that pushed Mahone to pursue his music career was because his followers loved his creations and he was encouraged with the feedback. In his hometown in Texas, he was very popular with the girls. His popularity in his hometown caused him to drop out of his public school though, and he now is being home-schooled.

His debut single reached the 38th spot in the Billboard Social 50 chart when it was released in September of 2011. Austin Mahone is the youngest person to
