Austin Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Michael McCarty Co-Sponsors Capital Area Dental Foundation Gala
Date:3/11/2010

Austin Cosmetic Dentist, Dr. Michael McCarty of Austin Smiles, Serves Patients in Program for Disadvantaged Elderly/Disabled Adults and Co-Sponsors Annual Capital Area Dental Foundation Gala.

(PRWEB) March 11, 2010 -- Recognizing the need for dental care to underprivileged clients, Dr. Michael McCarty of Austin Smiles has jumped in with both feet and has begun participating in the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program, spearheaded by the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Foundation. “It is very rewarding for me to serve my clients, underprivileged or otherwise. When my clients look and feel better, I can take satisfaction in knowing that I was able to help them,” explains the Austin dentist.

The DDS program offers comprehensive dental care for adults who are disabled, underprivileged, or over 55. The care may include extractions, dentures, oral surgery or a number of other procedures the individual may need.

One of the ways the organization obtains resources to fund the work to be done is through the “Capital Area Dental Foundation’s Gala”. This is an event that brings together professionals in the dental field that share the same concern: the dental health of those who are not able to pay for a consultation, let alone treatment. Members of the association and all who attend the Gala give generously, enabling the survival of this volunteer effort.

“I was very pleased to be able to co-sponsor the 2010 Capital Area Dental Foundation’s Gala. It was a delightful event and I was honored to be a part of it,”
