Aurora Leader Awarded for Helping Others Reach Their Potential
Date:2/20/2009

Sue Ela, executive vice president, receives 2009 TEMPO Mentor Award

MILWAUKEE, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Sue Ela believes that by working together we can accomplish more than working alone. This belief has helped to mold Ela, executive vice president of Aurora Health Care and president of Aurora's metro region, into an award-winning leader for Aurora Health Care.

TEMPO Milwaukee, has also taken notice of Ela's accomplishments and has named her as one of two 2009 TEMPO Mentor Award recipients. This honor celebrates the practice of mentoring by recognizing individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to helping others achieve their personal and professional potential.

"I am humbled that TEMPO Milwaukee would recognize me with this honor," Ela says. "Professionally, it is my goal to help Aurora provide the best possible health care for our patients and our community. This includes providing a better patient experience than they can find anywhere else."

In her role as a leader Ela considers it an honor to have the opportunity to contribute to the Milwaukee community and other vital organizations.

The TEMPO Milwaukee Mentor awards have been presented each year since 1990. During that time, $100,000 in scholarships has been awarded in the names of honorees. This year's award winners will have a $5,000 scholarship provided to the college or university of their choice. Ela has chosen Marquette University's College of Nursing to receive the prize.

Beverly Greenberg, vice president of communications and regional local programming for Time Warner Cable is the other recipient of this year's award. In addition to her responsibilities for Time Warner Cable, Greenberg also serves as a member of the board of directors for Aurora Health Care.
