Atlanta Plastic Surgeon Using Social Media To Connect with Patients
Date:11/24/2009

Dr. Tom Lintner is embracing the latest tools of virtual communication to expand his reach and keep an ongoing dialogue with patients. Through Facebook, Twitter, and other social media outlets, Dr. Lintner provides information about his Atlanta plastic surgery practice and seeks to answer any questions that patients may have.

Atlanta, GA (Vocus) November 24, 2009 -- A plastic surgeon in Atlanta is taking full advantage of new online technologies to connect with patients and provide information about his practice and the procedures that he offers. Dr. Tom Lintner of Advanced Aesthetic Surgery is no stranger to the Internet – his practice has had a robust, state-of-the-art website for years. But Dr. Lintner felt that it was important to expand his online presence through social media to reach individuals interested in cosmetic surgery and to educate them more effectively. “We feel very strongly that patients get as much information [as possible and they know the surgeon is available 24 hours a day to them.”

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and other social media sites have revolutionized the ways in which people share, discover, connect, and learn. Dr. Tom Lintner has utilized each one of these new platforms to make it easy for patients to contact his office, read about the plastic surgery procedures that they’re interested in, and to see and hear what sets his practice apart from others. Dr. Lintner’s YouTube channel features testimonials, interviews with Dr. Lintner and staff, and videos that show what it’s like to undergo breast augmentation in Atlanta and other treatments at Advanced Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr. Lintner’s Facebook page enables patients to interact with his practice on one of the most popular social networking sites in the world. Many adults are joining the younger generation who is already on Facebook; the site’s fastest growing demographic is men and women who are 35 years and older. Dr. Lintner says patients of all ages are welcome to join Aesthetic Plastic Surgery’s online family to view before-and-after photos and receive regular practice updates.

Dr. Lintner also maintains a blog to keep his patients informed about the latest plastic surgery procedures and techniques, such as LATISSE®, the only FDA-approved eyelash growth treatment. His blog also features special offers and rebates, including a limited-time $50 savings on a BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment.

Through his online efforts, Dr. Lintner hopes to provide patients with an in-depth look at the plastic surgery procedures at his practice so that they feel comfortable with every aspect of treatment. For patients who are not internet-savvy, Dr. Lintner says he still uses traditional methods in which patients can keep in touch. “We provide…our cell phone numbers to patients so they can contact us at any time. It’s a great way to practice medicine and patients love it.”
