AthletiCo's Champaign-Urbana Physical Therapy Center Relocates to 2040 S. Neil in Champaign

Longtime Champaign resident and physical therapist manages new facility

Champaign, IL (Vocus) May 24, 2010 -- AthletiCo Physical and Occupational Therapy announces the relocation of their Champaign-Urbana physical therapy center to 2040 South Neil Street in Champaign, Illinois. The new facility is located in the Hillcrest Center across the street from the Worden Martin car dealership, a mile and a half south of downtown. Patients will benefit from the facility’s larger working space, street-level entry, and convenient parking with designated handicapped spaces.

The center will continue to be managed by Rebecca Nef-Heffernan, MHS, PT, who has been a practicing physical therapist in the Champaign-Urbana area for the past 18 years. Nef-Heffernan and her husband are long-time residents of the area, where they have raised their two children and both built long-standing careers. Her husband, Jim Heffernan, is the head wrestling coach for the Fighting Illini.

“It is very rewarding to be able to work for such a well-established company as AthletiCo and utilize my physical therapy skills to help members of my own community recover from injuries and stay healthy,” says Nef-Heffernan. “Every day I am excited to come to work and love interacting with my patients. I look forward to working with local physicians to provide quality orthopedic rehabilitation to the Champaign-Urbana community.”
