Assurant Health Names Jennifer Kopps-Wagner Senior Vice President and General Counsel

MILWAUKEE, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, a leading national provider of individual medical, small group and specialty health insurance products, announces that Jennifer Kopps-Wagner has been named Senior Vice President and General Counsel, effective immediately.

Kopps-Wagner joined Assurant Health in 1999, holding a succession of positions in the company's legal department. In her most recent role as Vice President, Legal, she provided legal support and counsel for Assurant Health's Individual Medical and Worksite and Specialty Products product lines, as well as the Operations area.

Kopps-Wagner has served on the America's Health Insurance Plan's (AHIP) CEO Task Force Subcommittee on Rescission. She currently serves as Secretary for the Assurant Health Foundation and will be joining the Wisconsin Chapter Board of Directors of the March of Dimes in October 2008. Kopps-Wagner earned her bachelors degree from Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wis. and her law degree from the University of Wisconsin.
