Association of Academic Health Centers Names University of Pennsylvania's Dr. Arthur H. Rubenstein Chairman of the Board of Directors

ctor of Science from the University of Massachusetts and a Doctor of Laws from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Dickey is editor-in-chief of the patient education segment of Medem, an Internet-based patient-physician interface, and editor of The Journal of Patient Safety.

Newly elected to the board for three-year terms are Barbara Atkinson, MD, executive vice chancellor and executive dean of the school of medicine of the University of Kansas Medical Center, and John Fernandes, DO, MBA, president of the center for health sciences at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and dean of the college of osteopathic medicine.

The Association of Academic Health Centers is a national, non-profit organization that seeks to improve health and well-being through vigorous leadership of the nation's academic health centers.
