The campus of Baptist St, Anthony's Hospital will go on sale during an auction to be held December 2, 2008 at 10 am CT on the former hospital grounds.

This is an exiting chance to bid on what was one of Amarillo's major health care facilities. Originally built in 1901 and still stands as one of the Panhandle's most recognizable buildings. It was a haven for the sick up until two years ago, when the hospital merged with another provider and moved.

Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital grounds are located on Amarillo Avenue at Polk Street. Facilities include the 350 bed hospital building, 17 additions, a medical/professional building. In total, there are over 550,000 square feet of usable space all housed in an attractive, park like setting. What's more, it is all within one mile of downtown and the heart of Amarillo, TX.

The hospital, outbuildings and grounds would be ideal for a nursing home, a convalescent center, a senior independent living facility or assisted living facility or any other institutional medical setting.

The hospital is to be sold at an absolute auction. The highest bidder will take the site; there is no reserve, no minimum bid.
